Day Two – Horizontal Waterfalls
Awaken to the serene beauty of Yampi Sound. Begin your day with a hearty breakfast, then, depending on the tide, hop aboard one of our custom-built tenders to collect black lip oysters or fish the headlands and creeks. Lunch will be served as MV Diversity II glides through the Koolan Channel. We’ll then proceed through Dugong Bay into Talbot Bay, where you can experience the exhilarating Horizontal Falls. After a delightful evening meal, unwind and enjoy a peaceful night under the stunning Kimberley night sky.
Day Three – Doubtful Bay
Rise to the delightful aroma of fresh coffee and breakfast being made just for you. Once you’re fueled up, sit back and take in the stunning views as we navigate through Raft Point into Doubtful Bay, a gateway to many waterways, each offering unique landscapes and secluded swimming holes. Spend your day indulging in a range of activities, from fishing and mud crabbing to exploring the hidden freshwater swimming spots of the Kimberley.
Day Four – Montgomery Reef
Set off early from Red Cone Creek and enjoy a brief steam to the stunning Montgomery Reef. Once anchored, guests can embark on a scenic tour to witness the reef rising majestically from the ocean, with water cascading into the channel below. You’ll have the option to fish in the run-offs or simply capture the breathtaking beauty of this unique corner of the Kimberley with your camera.
Day Five – Deception Bay
Rise at Deception Bay during low tide, where you’ll have the opportunity to fish and collect Black Tip Kimberley Oysters. Once the tide starts to rise, the crew will lead you to one of the refreshing freshwater swimming holes for a rejuvenating swim. Following this, MV Diversity will head north toward the magnificent Prince Regent River.
Day Six – Cascade Waterfalls
Awaken in the St George Basin and hop aboard the tenders to explore Spit Fire Creek, where you can try your luck at catching the prized Barramundi. Once the tide rises, the skipper will navigate the boat right under the powerful Kings Cascade waterfall, giving guests a chance to swim and hike in the scenic surroundings. Later, we’ll steam to Camp Creek for the night.
Day Seven – Camp Creek
After breakfast, guests will have the chance to fish the river for Fingermark Broome and Mangrove Jack. You can also take your time exploring the area’s Aboriginal artwork. When the tide is high, the crew will guide you in the tenders up to Camp Creek for a refreshing swim and a visit to the waterfall. Later, MV Diversity will catch the outgoing tide and anchor at Careening Bay.
Day Eight – Mermaid Tree
Guests will disembark to visit the Mermaid Tree and discover the rich history of the area. Following this, MV Diversity will cruise to the Hunter River, specifically to Perosis Creek, where you can choose to fish or explore the scenic surroundings. To celebrate the final night, guests will gather for a beach bonfire on Naturalists Island before enjoying a delightful dinner back on board.
Day Nine – Biggie Island
Discover the art on Bigge Island and enjoy a refreshing saltwater swim. You’ll also have the option to gather some oysters and try your hand at blue water fishing. Afterward, we’ll cruise down the majestic Mitchell River for dinner.
Day Ten – Mitchell River
Awaken in the enchanting Mitchell River, renowned for its elusive Barramundi. After a morning of fishing, cool off in the refreshing waters of Surveyor’s Pool. For lunch, we’ll feast on delicious mud crabs as we cruise into Vansittart Bay for the night.
Day Eleven – Vansittart Bay
Delve into the captivating history of the Bradshaw art that graces Vansittart Bay. This prime location is perfect for bluewater fishing, allowing you to reel in fresh sashimi for our chef to whip up. After lunch, we’ll explore the intriguing wreck of a WWII DC-3 plane. As the day unfolds, we’ll navigate around the cape to the stunning King George River, ready for more adventure.
Day Twelve – King George River
Wake up to a delicious breakfast as we cruise up the King George River, a true gem of the Kimberley. Feel the might of the 84-meter high waterfalls as we position the bow of Diversity beneath their cascading waters. After a walk to the top of the falls, enjoy a refreshing dip to cool off. Post-lunch, dive into the stunning King George Crack for a swim, then head out for some exciting bluewater fishing.
Day Thirteen – Berkeley River
Savor breakfast as we navigate up the Berkeley River, watching the landscape transform around you. Grab your fishing rod as we head to the river’s head, where fresh water cascades over the rock bars—an ideal spot for Barramundi. After lunch back on Diversity, we’ll drift further down the river. Spend a leisurely afternoon relaxing with a glass of bubbles in a refreshing swimming hole before returning to the boat for a final dinner while anchored, as we prepare to head to Wyndham.
