The Coral Discoverer Coral Discoverer is designed to take you to destinations that are inaccessible to larger vessels. Accommodating just 72 guests, Coral Discoverer is purpose-built for navigating the tidal rivers and rugged coastlines of the remarkable Kimberley coast.
Coral Discoverer is exceptionally nimble and manoeuvrable, with a shallow draught to get up close to destinations. Featuring one trademark Xplorer tender seating all passengers for shore excursions as well as two Zodiac tenders available for navigating narrow inlets and waterways.

With much anticipation the day finally arrived where I got to step aboard the Coral Discoverer for my journey from Darwin to Broome. Having never been on an expedition cruise I didn’t really know what to expect, but let’s just say it was amazing.
After the usual safety briefings and captain’s drink’s we were off. To wake up in the morning at the mouth of the Berkeley River the adventure really began. I spent the entire 10 nights immersed in the most amazing gorges, waterfalls & beach landings with Indigenous rock art.
Staterooms
The vessel comprises 36 spacious, modern staterooms. Select from well-appointed:
- Bridge Deck Balcony Staterooms
- Promenade Staterooms (Category A and B) and
- Main Deck Staterooms (Category A and B).
Staterooms offering a choice of twin or junior king bedding. All staterooms have an ocean view, en-suite facilities, settee (except Promenade B Staterooms), a large wardrobe and are serviced daily.
Bridge Deck Balcony Stateroom
Located on the exclusive Bridge Deck close to the Lounge and Bridge, our six spacious Bridge Deck staterooms are 20sqm (215 square feet) in size and open out onto private balconies for expansive ocean views, along with a sofa, desk, telephone and your choice of Junior King or twin bedding.
Promenade Deck (Category A) Stateroom
Encircled by a full-ship promenade, our 19 spacious Promenade Deck (Category A) staterooms are 18sqm (195 square feet) in size and feature picture windows for expansive ocean views, along with a sofa, desk, telephone and your choice of Junior King or twin bedding.
Promenade Deck (Category B) Stateroom – Sole Use Only
Located in the bow of the ship and encircled by a full-ship promenade, our two Promenade Deck (Category B) staterooms are 15sqm (160 square feet) in size and feature picture windows for expansive ocean views, along with a desk, telephone and Junior King bedding. These rooms are allocated for Sole Use only.
Main Deck (Category A) Stateroom
Located close to the Dining Room, our six spacious Main Deck (Category A) staterooms are 18sqm (195 square feet) in size and feature large, twin porthole windows for expansive ocean views, along with a desk, sofa, telephone and your choice of Junior King or twin bedding.
Main Deck (Category B) Stateroom
Located close to the Dining Room, our three spacious Main Deck (Category B) staterooms are 18sqm (195 square feet) in size and feature twin portholes for expansive ocean views, along with a desk, sofa, telephone and your choice of Junior King or twin bedding.
