Join the crew of the MV Great Escape for an unforgettable fishing charter adventure in the stunning Southern Kimberley region! As the waters warm up, you’ll have the chance to test your skills against the mighty Barramundi, one of Australia’s most sought-after catches.

If fishing isn’t quite your style, don’t worry! You can enjoy secluded beach walks, take refreshing swims in hidden rock pools, or simply relax with a cold drink in the spa. There’s something for everyone on this incredible journey through one of Australia’s most beautiful landscapes. Get ready for a day of adventure and relaxation!

Day 1 – Broome to Doubtful Bay

Today, you’ll be transferred by light aircraft and helicopter from Broome to Doubtful Bay, making a scenic stop at Mt Hart along the way to meet the boat.

We’ll kick off the adventure with a fishing expedition at a creek of your choice in the Doubtful Bay area, where you can try your luck at catching some local species.

In the afternoon, we’ll head to Red Cone Creek for a refreshing swim at Ruby’s Falls. This spectacular waterfall boasts a picturesque swimming hole at the top, perfect for a relaxing dip surrounded by stunning natural beauty. Get ready for an exciting day in the Kimberley!

Day 2 – Barlee Impediment/Mud Bay

Wake up at Barlee Impediment, a stunning waterway teeming with fishing opportunities! After breakfast, we’ll set off in the tenders to explore the many creeks, runoffs, and rock bars in search of prized catches like Barramundi, Finger Mark, and Mangrove Jack.

After a satisfying morning of fishing, we’ll head back for lunch before cruising around to Mud Bay. Here, we’ll try our luck with the outgoing tide, targeting exciting pelagic species such as Giant Trevally and Queenfish. It’s a day filled with adventure, stunning scenery, and the thrill of the catch!

Day 3 – Montgomery Reef

Start your day with an early morning cruise through the breathtaking Montgomery Reef, where the unique tidal flows create a stunning spectacle. As we glide along this remarkable reef structure, your crew will share the fascinating history of the area while we keep an eye out for grazing turtles, roving sharks, and the occasional dugong.

Next, get ready for an exhilarating helicopter flight to view the reef from above, offering a completely new perspective on this natural wonder. After our aerial adventure, we’ll anchor at a sandy cay island for a refreshing swim before it disappears with the incoming tide.

Once we’ve enjoyed lunch, we’ll set sail for Eagle Creek, where we’ll fish the outgoing tide for the elusive Barramundi. It’s a day packed with adventure, relaxation, and the thrill of the catch!

Day 4 – Raft Point

In the morning, we’ll embark on an exciting mud crabbing adventure, utilizing the incoming tide to our advantage while also trying our hand at estuary fishing. As the sun climbs higher, we’ll enjoy a delicious lunch onboard, soaking in the scenery as we cruise towards Raft Point.

Upon arrival, you have the option to cast a line for some fishing or simply relax and take in the stunning Kimberley views. In the afternoon, we’ll make our way to Red Cone Creek, where a short walk will lead us to the refreshing Sapphire Pool, perfect for a cool swim to rejuvenate before the day’s end. It’s a day filled with the best of the Kimberley’s natural beauty and thrilling experiences!

Day 5 – Broome

After a morning departure from the MV Great Escape via helicopter, you’ll land at Mount Hart for a seamless transfer to Broome by fixed-wing charter flight. Upon arrival at Broome Airport, our friendly office staff will be there to greet you and assist with your transfer to your accommodation or to Broome International Airport, depending on your travel plans. It’s a smooth transition from your adventure back to the comforts of home or onward journeys!
